MacKenzie Gore’s second start in the Texas League was one to forget.
The 20-year-old left-hander allowed seven runs and three homers in four innings before Double-A Amarillo rallied for a 12-8 win over visiting Northwest Arkansas on Friday night.
The seven runs allowed were two fewer than Gore surrendered in 79 1/3 innings at high Single-A Lake Elsinore to start the year and he allowed only one more homer than he did Friday night.
Gore struck out four, walked one and gave up nine hits in pushing his Texas League ERA to 6.
