The San Francisco 49ers signed cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, who comes with starting experience and won’t have to be brought along as would have been the case with whoever the team selected on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
The Niners' third-round pick this year will cost them $1.05 million. Ya-Sin is a smidge more expensive, as his cap number for 2024 is $1.15 million per Over the Cap. San Francisco will have to spend over a million dollars to release Ya-Sin, so the 28-year-old is all but guaranteed to make the roster, barring anything unforeseen.
