Hot off the presses, we note the presence in Toronto of Kevin Durant. The OKC Thunder superstar (not a word I use often, but accurate in his case) is visiting for Drake’s OVO event. The CBC caught up with Durant at Monday’s Toronto Blue Jays game, which he attended to see another superstar (there’s that word again), pitcher David Price, make his debut after being traded by Detroit.
What does any of this breathless star-watching nonsense have to do with the Toronto Raptors? Quite a lot, actually, or at least potentially. Durant’s name has been linked with the Raptors ever since he confessed to falling in love with the team as a boy, which was during the electrifying years of the young Vince Carter.
